Next up is a ferry ride across to Folegandros where you will enjoy another day of cruising, this time between the interesting rock formations and past beautiful beaches and more sea caves. The final stop on this discovery of the Greek islands will be Santorini – a charming, crescent-shaped island dotted with quaint villages. Jewels of the Cyclades

Athens

There are few places where the past comes to life in quite the same way as in Athens. Often referred to as the cradle of Western civilisation, it’s a city bursting at the seams with culture, intrigue, and beauty. It’s not just a place for history buffs, however, it’s also one of the liveliest European capitals. A thriving café culture ensures you’re not left waning in between all the sightseeing and you’ll never have to venture far to enjoy the vibrant nightlife.

Jewels of the Cyclades

Milos

Milos is a volcanic island, sitting at the southernmost part of the Cyclades island complex. Thanks to its volcanic origin, Milos boasts a magnificent colorful landscape and a coastline that counts more than 40 exotic beaches.

Standing out for its majestic ambiance, rich history, picturesque fishing villages, amazing food, and indigo bays, Milos island is a timeless Cycladic gem that will steal your breath with its enchanting beauty. The variety of landscapes in Milos is unreal- you’ll see nothing twice, there’s always something new to discover. Being home to the Venus of Milo statue, which was discovered on the island and the stunning Sarakiniko beach, Milos’ beauty is expressed in many ways!

Jewels of the Cyclades

Folegandros

Folegandros, despite becoming more popular in recent years, remains a wonderfully untouched island. There are three villages Karavostasi (the port), Chora and Ano Meria, as well as a number of hidden beaches and historic relics and rustic terraced farms on almost every sun-bathed slope. The pace of life here is traditionally laid back, perhaps best enjoyed in the evenings with a glass of wine and some wonderful food in one of Chora’s three linked squares.

Jewels of the Cyclades

Santorini

Floating in the southern Aegean Sea is a little slice of Greek heaven. A huge volcanic eruption 3,500 years ago left a caldera which turned the then- circular Santorini into a crescent shaped island, one that has been charming visitors since they first arrived.

Santorini is the largest island of a small archipelago, wrapping its arms protectively around the islands of Palea, Nea and Thirasia. Sheer cliffs hundreds of metres high shield coves and beaches made up of red, white and black sand, while pretty villages of limewashed cubic houses creep up the sides, nestled into every nook and cranny.

Two nights exploring Athens

There are few places where the past comes to life in quite the same way as in Athens. A difficult city to love, but also a difficult city to leave.
You will wander into less-touristy areas to discover pockets of timeless charm. In the lovelier Athenian neighborhoods, you can delight in the pleasures of strolling – Peripatos, the Athenians call it, and it’s as old as Aristotle, whose students learned as they roamed about in his Peripatic school.
To appreciate Athens is to appreciate life with all its surprises and complexities.

Introduction to Greek Cuisine

You will get to know the wonderful world of Mediterranean cuisine; the herbs, the fresh vegetables, the choice meats that Greeks always use and learn the basics on how to prepare a full Greek dinner with easy to follow recipes and plenty “hands on” preparation and cooking. The cooking course includes starters like eggplant salad, tzatziki, traditional seasonable pie, dolmadakia, Greek salad and a main course. Plenty of choices for vegetarians also.

Its landscape is sublime, with over 70 beaches including some of the most stunning in Greece, often dramatic coastline dotted with idyllic fishing villages and volcanic interior.
